The plastic should protect the tomatoes quite well, they should survive 2 deg. I've got fleece over mine as it's cold, raining heavily and the wind's strong. We haven't got central heating, the house is too small... but we've started having the estufa lit again.


Thanks for the reassurance! I didn't realize it got so cold where you are till I saw the photos of snow on your blog! That must be rough with no central heating. I kind of wish we didn't have central heating either as it has proved to be quite expensive. Next winter we plan to rely on the fireplace more for heating the house.
